First meeting of the General Congregation planning group

The planning group for the 2020 General Congregation met at the Generalate in Rome from 7 to 10 January. The preparatory work at this stage turned out to be sensing of the possible dynamics we would use for the proceedings of the GC.
We summarized this process figuratively as ‘loosening the earth for the future mushrooms to pop up’.  We have just arrived at the overall view of the GC design principles, which will be the base for future planning. The experience of these four days of searching and discerning was very deep and enriching.

Generalate – Middle European Province

On 1 January 2020, Sr Cosima Kiesner CJ will begin her mission as the new Provincial Superior of the Middle European Province as Sr. Sabine Adam CJ finishes her term of office. We want to express immense gratitude to Sr. Sabine for her generous service and care of the province in the last 6 years.
The sisters of the Generalate wish Sr. Cosima all the best in the coming years and pray for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit on her and her team so that they will be able to lead the province in love and discernment. We assure her of our prayer and support as she begins her new mission. (text and photo/eka)
