In his recent visit to England Pope Benedict XVI made special mention of Mary Ward when he said: “Looking around me today, I see many apostolic religious whose charism includes the education of the young. This gives me an opportunity to give thanks to God for the life and work of the Venerable Mary Ward, a native of this land whose pioneering vision of apostolic religious life for women has borne so much fruit. I myself as a young boy was taught by the “English Ladies” and I owe them a deep debt of gratitude.”

Sr Monica Cojan CJ has joined the small international community in Cuba. This brings the CJ community to four - sisters from Chile, Argentina, Italy, and now Sr Monica from Romania. Here she is looking well settled in with new friends!

On June 18 students and teachers from Mary Ward schools across the MEP gathered in Munich to celebrate together the 400 years of Mary Ward's founding vision. Despite the rain, about 1600 students attended a variety of events that included the Mass, concerts and other musical events, costume parades, and art displays on Mary Ward places in the historic center.
