The IBVM has held a shared Safeguarding Conference in Nairobi. Sr Mary Gitau, Province Leader of Eastern Africa, warmly welcomed all participants to Nairobi, Kenya. One of the partcipants was Sr Estela CJ, Vicar General of the Congregatio Jesu. Sr Carmel Swords, the IBVM Institute Leader, introduced Tina Campbell as the facilitator and Ms Beatrice Mumbi, the IBVM Global Safeguarding Officer.
The meeting was an important opportunity for exchange on safeguarding and the discussion of specific protective measures.
